"Vijay 59" Satellite Rights bagged by "STARVIJAY"

Vijay start his next film ("Vijay 58"), buzz surrounding his 59th film has already started doing the rounds.

On Tuesday, reports emerged that Vijay will be teaming up with director Atlee of "Raja Rani" fame for a new project. The film will reportedly be produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, who had funded Vijay's blockbuster flick "Thuppakki."

"Leading producer #KalaipuliThanu is going to do#IlayathalapathyVijay's next film (after Chimbudevan) which will be directed by @Atlee_dir," Entertainment Industry Tracker Sreedhar Pillai had tweeted.

Latest buzz is that Nayanthara might be playing the female lead opposite Vijay in the Atlee directorial. Nayanthara is said to be the front runner to play the heroine role in the film.

The actress, who made a comeback with Atlee's "Raja Rani," has been on a roll with back-to-back film offers. She is busy with a few projects including that of Suriya-Venkat Prabhu's "Masss." If she is roped in for "Vijay 59," it will be her second film with the actor after the 2009-release "Villu."

There are also speculations that music composer G.V. Prakash will be composing the songs for "Vijay 59." The film is expected to go on floors after Ilayathalapathy completes "Vijay 58," to be directed by Chimbudevan. However, an official announcement regarding the project is still awaited.

Vijay 58, the 58th and untitled film of Ilayathalapathy to be helmed by director Chimbu Devan is expected to go on floors in the first week of this November.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay who is tasting the blockbuster success of his last outing, Kaththi is said to be currently vacationing at London. Ilayathalapathy plays dual roles in Vijay 58. Ravishing beauties Shruti Hassan and Hansika Motwani are playing the female leads.

Reports say that actress Shruti Hassan bagged the much-coveted role after Bollywood reigning beauty Deepika Padukone could not offer dates for Vijay 58, with her packed shooting schedules in Hindi filmdom. Yesteryear heartthrob Sridevi is also playing a role in the film and her potions are loaded with plenty of computer graphics ,reports say.

Kannada Superstar Sudheep of ‘Naan Ee’ fame is said to be playing the elder brother of Vijay.Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to score music for Vijay 58.

Vijay 58, a fantasy entertainer will have 7 comedians to lend humour including Thambi Ramaiah, Vidyullekha Raman and Robot Shankar.

The film shoot is going to be launched in the first week of November with a song featuring Vijay along with his 2 leading ladies in a grand and pompous set erected at ECR in the city.

Hollywood stunt choreographer Lee Whitaker, who has worked in films like Ajith’s “Arrambam,” Kamal Hassan’s “Vishwaroopam” and Rajinikanth’s “Lingaa”, has been brought on board for “Vijay 58″ to can the stunt sequences packed with fiery action.

Expectations are riding high over Vijay 58 as it is Ilayathalapathy’s first attempt on fantasy genre and he is also teaming up with Chimbu Devan for the first time. Ilayathalapathy has allotted a bulk 200 days for shooting his portions, sources say.

Vijay 58 is touted to be the costliest film ever made in Ilayathalapathy’s career. Produced by Vijay’s PRO P.T. Selvakumar and Shibu of Thameens Films, “Vijay 58″ will release on silver screens next year, as a summer bonanza.
